New Profile has released a new report titled Academia under Command: Militarism in Israeli Academia, detailing extensive collaboration between academic institutions, the military, arms industry, the Israel Security Agency, and Mossad in Israel.

A WRI affiliate - the Mouvement pour une Alternative Non-violente (MAN) - are organising a conference on 13th and 14th November 2026 to exchange experiences and reflections on unarmed civilian-led defence.

A new report published by the Lithuanian-based human rights organisation Our House reveals how militarisation in Belarus begins long before young people reach conscription age. Focusing on developments throughout 2025, the report documents how the education system itself is shaped around “pre-conscription training,” which embeds military values from early childhood.

In late November, the WRI network gathered in Barcelona, Spain, for four days of discussion and deliberation, building solidarity, and sharing experiences of resisting war and its causes in a diversity of contexts.

On 1st December 2025, antimilitarist organisations, collectives, activists and artists carried out a nonviolent direct action against the Expodefensa Arms Fair, held in Bogotá, Colombia, from 1st to 3rd December. The action, called as a peaceful sit-in outside the Corferias exhibition centre at 2pm on the opening day of the fair, was harassed, hindered and obstructed from the outset by the presence of Public Forces.

The report outlines the group’s work over the past year, including their efforts to end the genocide in Gaza, support conscientious objectors, and promote a demilitarised society in Israel.
